Using the Xbox Controller with the CBC Gem App

 

 

To turn on the Xbox controller, select and hold the “Guide Button” found in the middle of the controller. Once the “Guide Button” lights up, the Xbox controller will be activated and can be used to navigate the CBC Gem App.

 

To move around within the CBC Gem App, use the “Left Stick” or the “Directional Pad”.

 

To select the different options found within the CBC Gem App, press the “A Button” or push down on the “Left Stick”. 

 

To return to the previous screen or go back, press the “B Button”.

 

To pause and play the video you are watching in the video player, press the “A Button” or push down on the “Left Stick”.

 

To bring up the video control options, while still maintaining playback, press the “X Button” or “Y Button”, or press down on the “Right Stick”.  From here, you can choose to start the video from the beginning, enable closed captions, and enable described video when available.

 

 

To skip forward and back through video-on-demand content in 15-second intervals, use the “Left Stick”. Pressing the “Left Stick” to the right will skip forward while pressing the “Left Stick” to the left will skip back.

 

 

To rewind or fast-forward video-on-demand content at different speeds, use the “Left Trigger” to rewind and the “Right Trigger” to fast-forward. Press either the "Left Trigger" or "Right Trigger" once for 1x speed. Press again for 2x speed or 3x speed.
