If you see an audience contribution that you believe is inappropriate (contravenes the Submission Guidelines), please report it! You must report a comment on CBC.ca, before appealing the decision to publish it.
If reporting a submission doesn't result in its removal, you can appeal that decision. You can also appeal CBC's decision to reject/deactivate your own content.
CBC will make every effort to review your appeal and reverse decisions if appropriate but there will be times when the volume of appeals is higher than the resources we have available. We are unable to provide you with the status of your appeal or a rationale for a moderation decision.
HOW TO APPEAL:
Please contact Audience Services with the following comment information...
- the story title and URL that the comment is associated with;
- an exact copy of the entire comment;
- the date and approximate time of the submission;
- the username/display name, of the author of the contribution
- your rationale for publishing or removal (please reference the Submission Guidelines)
- the date and approximate time of your “Report” (if you're asking for a comment to be removed)
You can also appeal CBC's decision to ban your account.

- the username/display name of your account profile;
- the email address associated with your account;
- the rationale for the ban - visible when you attempt to log in;
- your rationale for appealing the account ban (please reference the Submission Guidelines)
